About the Booster Club
Founded in 1987, the Hancock Park School Booster Club is a nonprofit organization of parent volunteers who raise money and organize activities to benefit the children of our school.  We have an annual operating budget of over $150,000, which allows us to round out the school program and fill in the funding gaps left by Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD).

Here's a sampling of what we provide:

  • School Improvements:  Art Patio, Bungalow Garden, Welcome Gate Garden, Play Structure, Murals, Auditorium Renovation,  Library Renovation
  • Salaries:  Classroom, Before and after school library aides, Choral Director, Math Consultant, Testing Coordinator
  • Computer Lab Equipment, Software, Maintenance
  • Maintenance:  Copiers, paper supplies, Library Books, Emergency Supplies
  • Extracurricular: Field trips, Fifth Grade Culmination, Performances, Playground equipment

Our goals for the 2008/2009 school year are:

  • Add an additional play structure to the primary yard
  • Purchase classroom laptops and projectors (technology upgrade)
  • Replace old benches with new benches throughout campus
  • Build a physical education program
  • Renovate the interior of the cafeteria and the adjacent teacher's lounge
