Parent Seminar with Dr. Jin Kyu Robertson

Author of Major Dream: From Housemaid to Harvard PhD

Major DreamHancock Park School is proud to present Dr. Jin Robertson as part of our parent seminar series!

Dr. Jin Kyu Robertson, Korea’s most popular motivational speaker and best selling author of Major Dream: From Housemaid to Harvard Phd, will be at Hancock Park School on January 26th from 8:30-10:30 in the morning as part of her California Inspirations Tour. She will be speaking about her miraculous journey to achieve the American dream and sharing her secrets to overcoming insurmountable circumstances.

Born and raised in Korea, Jin worked as a factory girl and housemaid until she immigrated to the US with virtually no English, a one-way plane ticket, and $100 in her pocket. Several years later she made a life-saving decision to save herself and her baby girl from domestic violence by joining the US Army. Through determination, imagination, and sheer will, she retired as a U.S. Army Major paving the way for women in leadership in the US military. On her unstoppable quest for personal success, she competed with the best and brightest to receive her MA and Ph.D. from Harvard.

Having inspired millions of Koreans and selling over a half million copies of her memoir, Dr. Robertson now speaks world-wide from the Middle East to Malaysia to the shores of Hawaii. Dr. Robertson's past speaking engagements and clients include The International Women in Leadership Conferences (Dubai, Malaysia, Hawaii), The Blue House (The Korean President’s Palace); Korean National Assembly, Samsung; Hyundae; LG; Prudential; ING; Daewoo; Korean Provincial; U.S. & Korean Military; and Korean & American Universities such as Harvard and Princeton.

Dr. Robertson has generously offered to donate $2 of every book that is purchased at our school back to Hancock Park School.
